It is with great sadness that we announce that our President Phil Thorn passed away at the weekend. Many of you will know that he had been bravely struggling with cancer for some time. He will be sorely missed.
We will look to mark his incredible contribution to our club (and the wider cricketing community) for more than 50 years - Gloucestershire published an article a bit earlier today (see this link) with some of Thorny’s career highlights.
An update with funeral arrangements will follow as soon as we have further details. In the meantime, our thoughts are very much with his family at this difficult time
