Men's Cricket
Whatever standard of cricket you play, there is a team to suit you at Old Bristolians Westbury.
1st XI, 2007
On Saturdays the Club usually turns out four men's teams. The top two teams in the Club play in the best league in the South West area: the West of England Premier Cricket League. The 1st XI narrowly missed out on promotion last year so will play the 2009 season in the Bristol and North Somerset division. Our 2nd XI won their league for the 3rd consectutive year and will play in the Bristol and North Somerset division 2nd XI competition.
The 3rd XI, having been promoted in 2007, played in Division 1 of the North Somerset Cricket League for the first time in the club's history, and finished a creditable 7th. The 4th XI struggled in North Somerset League Division 4 but managed to avoid relegation.
2008 saw the welcome return of Sunday 2nd XI cricket after a break of several seasons. The newly formed team performed well and finished 3rd in Division 5 of the North Somerset Sunday Conference. However, due to a reorganisation of the league we will be playing in Division 3 in 2009!
